Hello every one.
Am so, so glad to announce today that Regina has completed her course, graduated and awarded licenses as a enrolled nurse. She graduated last year 2013 and finally obtain her licenses this year 2014. After a short time, She got a contract with Kaabong Hospital last year 2013 and has since then been working at Kaabong Hospital to date. We are very pleased with this achievement and we look forward to seeing many youths in Kotido District and Karamoja empowered, productive, their wellbeing improved, prosper and are able to create lasting impacts within their community and Karamoja. Here is a brief story of Regina.
Regina’s parents all died when she was still at primary school. The older sister decided to marry and find money to support Regina to access secondary education (4 years). Successfully Regina did her final exams very well (pass sciences) and completed her secondary level of Education. But the money got finished and no other option except to stay home. The next level was even more expensive than the previous one. She ended up spending 3- 4 years home. God made a way for her to know Shalom through an uncle who sought for support at Shalom in the year 2009. She was then enrolled into the sponsorship programme at the middle of 2010 and there her hope was revive and today she is called a Nurse, working and living a better life while providing a very important service to the Karamojong in Kaabong District.
Regina thanks her Uncle, Shalom and the sponsor for supporting her to achieve her dream. She want to work for a while… save money and go back to school for upgrade.
