January updates.. Sport (Football) program for the youths.

By Rainbow Mike, Feb 24 2015 08:01AM

Hello friends. I have been quite but busy. I counts it an opportunity to have spend such a long holiday with the youths under our sport (football) program. The youths have enjoyed every bit of the program for this school holiday right from December to the end of this month Jan. 2015. Our main focus for doing football with the youths is to be able to share the love of Christ and make disciple, the other is to be able to bring the youths together and help them build strong relationship among themselves as they follow Jesus and thirdly to develop their skills and talents that God has placed into their lives. I am thankful to God because some of the youths have began to respond to following Jesus. And some have got sponsorship for school (secondary education) through the talents and gift of playing football. This week one of the youth under our team, (Agape Utd) joined the fellowship at PAG Church and it's some thing we can all praise God for. This week we are doing outreach in three villages ( kacheri, Losilang and Lokomenyebu). We began yesterday with the youths at Entebbe Area, and Today we went to Kacheri, Tomorrow we go to Losilang and finalized with Lokomenyebu on Sunday afternoon. It's a great opportunity to share the gospel to the youths and i just want to ask for your prayer especially that Jesus be revealed to the youths and that they shall open their hearts to receive and follow Him. My boys played very well this afternoon, they won 4. 1 and they are very happy with the result though. I do not care much about the result, however it's a great motivation to the youths, yesterday they beat Green Villa 13. 1 and today is another big win for them because they played youths who are all older than them in age. The youths shown good discipline on and off the pitch while at kacheri today, this moved the youths in kacheri to request Agape to go back again next holiday (April or May 2015). Even though they lost the friendly match, they were happy because my boys were so nice to them today. Finally we had a meal together at the local restaurant and send each home to rest and spend time with their families. I also request that you pray for God's provision for school fees for some of the youths who play for Agape but have since dropped out of school due to lack of school fees, some have finished secondary school and have been home for three years.

I also invite you to come visit the youths and perhaps blessed them with your time and physical involvement at football training and bible story, support in whichever way and together we shall extend the message of the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior

Jesus Christ hence expanding the Kingdom of God in Karamoja.
