Fencing Well on the way

children and workers putting up fenceRainbow Mike and the kids are helping construct a fence with funds contributed to the ministry from people in the US.

It took almost 6 months to put the word out and collect enough money for beginning the fencing around the Shalom Home property but it is finally happening.  This week they are finishing one side of the property, including the football pitch and hope to have everying completed by the end of the month.

The fencing is part of a 2-3 stage process to try and finish the building up to the standards required by the Ugandan Government for Children’s Homes.  The next stage will be to finish the rest of building to serve as a center and home for the children on the streets.

This fence represents much more to the children and Rainbow Mike than just security fencing–it also speaks to them about how God wants to take care of the them and give them His security.

  1. Praise God, the fence is getting done! thank you to everyone who made this possible. Let’s keep it going and get these kids off the street into a place where they can experience the love of God in their lives. Thank you Rainbow Mike for being a vessel to be used by God.
